Join Me in Supporting CNU This Giving Season
I was raised on New Urbanism from the moment I started college. My college campus was my first experience living in a walkable environment, a familiar story for many in North America. It was also in college that I was introduced to the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU). CNU is a member-based non-profit championing better design of cities and towns to improve lives and strengthen communities. As I studied at Andrews University, I saw how architecture could be more than just an art piece, but could instead shape livable, resilient places for people to thrive. The concepts of New Urbanism intimately tied together what I believed in - that I, as a practitioner, could be a servant, and that the most effective architecture humbly shapes the experience of the best places. Now, as a member of the Board of Directors for the Congress for the New Urbanism, I have seen firsthand the ability of the organization to amplify the grassroots power of the New Urbanist movement to build and rebuild places in more equitable and sustainable ways.
Your tax-deductible donation enables CNU to continue supporting the power of the movement in providing resources and tools to build places people love. My work with CNU is one of the greatest pleasures of my career and I encourage you to give generously to support that important work.
CNU believes that the way we design our cities, towns, and neighborhoods must be a part of how we respond to these complex challenges, and how we expand the social, economic, and environmental opportunities available to all members of the community.
