Join urban designers David Green and Paul Knight for a discussion of one of the most effective city-making tools in history, Master Street Plans. Learn how plans such as the L'Enfant Plan for DC, the 1811 plan for Manhattan, and the Oglethorpe Plan for Savannah have shaped these cities through centuries of change, and why this tool was abandoned by cities in the middle of the 20th Century. And yet this tool is highly relevant today for infill, greenfield, and retrofit development.
